Questions worth asking before you join.
- What does 'founder' mean — and what happens after 1,000?
- Anyone who joins while there are founder seats left becomes a founding member, free for life. Once the 1,000 cap is reached, new members will pay a regular annual subscription to join. Founders never lose access, regardless of what happens to pricing later.
- Do I need to have read the book to join?
- No, but you'll get more out of either tier if you have. The free toolkit walks you through the same Mason → Builder → Architect frameworks in a guided, interactive format — start there if you're not sure.
- What's the difference between CMP Network and The Architects?
- Network is open membership — Africa-wide peer directory, monthly community Q&A, members-only events, a quarterly CISO Playbook template, and the free preface + Chapter 1 of the book. The Architects is a closed, application-only tier capped at 100 senior practitioners — everything in Network plus the full book in-app, quarterly 1:1s with industry experts, in-person dinners across African cities, the full Playbook Library, and curated warm introductions.
- How does The Architects application work?
- Tell us about your role, where you're at in the climb, and what you're working on. Each application is reviewed personally. We respond within a week. If all 100 seats are filled there's a waitlist.
- Can my employer pay for The Architects?
- Yes. Many members expense Architects membership as professional development or executive education. We can issue an invoice — request one via /contact.
- Is the community public?
- No. The directory, The Architects channel, and any discussions are members-only. Your toolkit answers are never shared.
